Well you can add a basic PCI / PCIe based USB 3.0 controller, it will give you ~2 -->4 rear facing ports.

Price depends on demand and availability, go to your local market and inquire about the same.

Here is an example from GIGABYTE. The GA-USB3.0; here is a review for the same.

Here is their where to buy page, so contact the listed Indian retailers / distributors for additional details.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!!

Is there a card available in India to utilize the Front USB 3.0 without taking a cable and connecting it to the rear ports. Take the intel DH67BL which doesn't have the USB 3.0 header in the mobo and I ended with a cabinet which has USB 3 port in the front. How do I use the same?

As for the topic, it is available in India
Transcend @ 1.1k for PC

Transcend @ 1.2k for Laptops
Transcend USB 3.0 Express Card Adapter : TS-PNU3 - www.deltapage.com

Though I will go with Alpha17's solution as it is better.

While if mobo doesnt support USB 3.0 headers you cant use the front ports, but if you use a add-on PCI-E card, if it has a header you can use the front ports, but I am not quite sure about it, other than that a standalone card with a USB 3.0 headers is not available

Its not available locally but if somebody can get it through ICC World then this would work.

HAILSTONE, I am not aware of the front port only USB 3.0 adapters but Prime ABGB has a good selection of PCIe cards and floppy drive I/O adapter, check out this range of products here.

One of the above has USB 3.0 [physical ports] facing forward to facilitate their usage for the front panel of a compatible PC cabinet.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!!

There are numerous types of controller cards available (both locally & abroad) & a user can get accordingly whatever he needs but I think most cabinet would be providing USB 3.0 front ports through a header only & not the physical USB 3.0 ports. In that case a contoller card with a header is required. If I am not wrong PrimeABGB is the distri. for Silverstone & they can (maybe) arrange for the said model...

All types of options are there hence if the buyer wants he can get the specific controller as he seems fit.

I'm myself eyeing on a controller card which gives both USB 3.0 & E-SATA connectivity & its retailing @ $26.50...
