Hi,

I would like to buy a usb ethernet card...now i have a pci ethernet card.i am planning to fix my sound card in that slot...so I am planning to buy a usb stuff

is it slower than pci ethernet cards...would also like to know the price and availability

have one more doubt?is it safe to use a usb ethernet card---I am using a lan card for better speed and for avoiding spikes...is it possible in a usb lan card?
 
No problem in opting for a USB NIC but it won't be reliable when compared to normal ones.

Also, getting an USB NIC is a tough task.

It won't be slower than pci ethernet cards. Also it may need drivers.

Price will be in the range of 400-500.
