Storage Solutions USB External laptop HDD enclosure

Hi ppl,

I am looking for a USB external laptop HDD enclosure. But I am completely new to both of these things... USB casing and laptop HDD. I don't know what should be my selection criterion... can you please help me with it... I think following list should be a good starting point....

1. A budget of Rs.4000/-
2. Enclosure should be at least USB 2.0 (Firewire, e-sata will be an add-on)
3. It should draw power from USB port itself. Shouldn't require a separate power source.
4. It should be as sleek as possible.
5. What interface should I look for in a laptop HDD?
6. What is the indicative costing of laptop HDDs which can fit in a casing?
7. I am based in Pune so please don't suggest anything from newegg or the likes.

you can go for the transcend 2.5 in casing .. it was 1.5k about 6months ago so should be less now.. not sure but maybe you can fit in a 40gb 2.5 in hdd and you're good to go
 
paid 3K for a Seagate 80GB 2.5 inch HDD and 900Rs for Transcend casing.So it should be same in pune give or take 100Rs and it meets all your requirements above.
