Have a Seagate Expansion Desktop Drive 2TB USB 3.0
Model: SRD00F2
http://www.seagate.com/external-hard-drives/desktop-hard-drives/expansion-hard-drive/

Found my pc in a hung up state in the morning & had to reset. The HDD blue light seemed to be ON with clicking sound.
After resetting pc the hdd blue light would'nt light up, but seemed to be spinning up at first & then used to stop.

So, now it doesnt even detect.
It does not show up in Device Manager, Disk Management or in bios. Have checked HDD in other pc aswell as with other usb cable.

The HDD is very much covered under warranty till somewhere in 2015. But, there is atleast 500GB worth of data in it, which unfortunately wasnt backed up as it was pretty new & was shown to be a healthy drive in HDD Sentinel too. Well, its hardly a year old :(

Have tried multiple hdd/data recovery softwares in windows & dos, but it isnt visible to any. Also tried the Seagate tool, but still nothing.

Now, do I pry it open & try to connect it through sata OR should i simply send it to RMA?
Just incase I happen to open it & it still wouldnt work through sata port, will it still be eligible for warranty if I manage to open it without breaking any of the locks/tabs?

Please HELP!!!!
