USB Power Surge

Have Lenovo E480 Laptop;

Since I got this laptop, I keep on receiving the USB power surge message (see attached) and one of the port stops working after this message appears (and at times this message appears continuously)

I ran the checks using Lenovo Vantage and found no issues; also all the device drivers and windows are up to date.

Don't know what's the exact issue and why it keeps happening

I have also opened the laptop once to rule out the USB port shorting and found nothing.

This happened to me once because the cable was bad. I stopped having the problem once I changed to a new cable. Unfotunately the pro micro connected to the cable at that time died.

It could also be the device connected at the end was also gone bad
