PC Peripherals USB TV Tuner Suddenly Fails with DTH

i have been using a FRONTECH JIL-0613 for 20 months with set top box with 8 pin component in and 3 RCA female,now from yesterday it is not working with set top box but working fine with analog cable or the normal cable jack!with set top box only sound is coming,this is the 1st tym such a problem I am facing

first I thought the tv tuner is gone,but It works well and records pograms as well with normal cable jack,but refuses to show video with the component IN inserted but In that as well gives the sound!and records as well,same with 2 pcs and one laptop,can anyone tell me where is the problem?and if it can be rectified?

I bought another component IN 3 rca and it did not even give sound wit the 2nd cable

please does anyone have similar issues or knows how to solve it?

upto 3 days ago,even tv out of mobiles like n 95 would treat it like a virtual tv and show up but on mobiles as well...only the sound of the mobile is coming thru the tv tuner and not the video,extremely confused and the new cable did not help either

I am also understanding that the second cable not giving even sound might be a FAULTY cable often sold in Sp road as loads of my branded cables have also failed to work with other devices sometimes,but does it mean that one cable gone and the whole tv tuner is useless foreva?
 
Frist try replacing with one more cable and see if it works ..if it diesn't !!! then ur card has some problems..
in most cases the card will be out of warranty ..unscrew it and chk if any solderings (conntact points) gone loose ..
 
ok,but these cables are very costly and I already tried 2 cables,one gives only sound and the 2nd gives nothing...opening is a good option but is it possible that 8pin port is not working only with video where as analog is perfect?:huh:
 
tried opening the tv tuner but it is totally fixed and I might break it if I push too much,only 1 screw is there and it does not help in removing the cover at all :@
 
mate first try with one more cable who knows those 2 cables might have gone wrong :bleh:
or else try banging it on ground like basket ball after removing the screw :rofl: ..just kidding..
i think u have to try it in the hard way to separate it from box :cool2:
 
the biggest surprise is that I have a 25 inch tv as well,just that love recording programs sometimes and hence frustrated ova the issue,one more cable means another 300 odd gone and if it does not wrk then :no:
