i want to know how useful wud the dvi-d port be....this s bcoz samsung 920nw has only dvi analog sub whereas viewsonic vg1930wm has even dvi-d input.....the problem i somehow dont like the viewsonic's design (tht broad speaker area at the bottom) and am inclined towards samsung's sleek design (here again wud have prefered full black not silver though)but the vendor says viewsonic is a better option considering dvi....and yes i m buying an 8600gt....will it b better to go wid viewsonic???

^^Second that

DVI is an all digital path from the graphics card right to the monitor.

but VGA is Digital ->analog at graphics card ------- Analog to Digital on LCD monitor

so DVI is defenitely better.

DVID is better, but the difference as such is not much, if you are viewing Hi Res Stuff thats a different story though....

I think it looks better.

I have a dual display graphics card that outputs both VGA and DVI. Both are hooked up to the same monitor, and one can switch the input on the monitor.

DVI-D text looks sharper.
