If you have high-end used headphone like Bose, Sennheiser like that brand then let me know. I'm ready to buy if the price is acceptable. For music, Not interested in wireless headphone. Must be 1-2 year or less used.

Suggestion: Purchasing used Headphones, earphones, mOuse pads is as dirty as puchasing used undies which have been washed rarely.

You have a big budget, get yourself new Hd555 or Audio Techica Ad700 or something along with a Xonar dx sound card.

+1 , infact I hate to share my IEMs with my friends ,usually i wipe them with cotton swab before using them again when some1else uses it .

Yup, and I hope you have a good audio source. Buying hi-end headphones and using it with onboard audio is the highest degree of insult.

^^ I disagree. Good headphones/earphones will improve the sound regardless of the source (to a certain degree of course). I believe that since the headphone is the single most important component of the system its best to get that first and then build around it.

I also started with a Sennheiser HD650 using it on onboard. Did it s**k ??? Heck no ! It sounded amazing !

When I got my Taurus T100 amp for them, they started sounding even better. And when I finally got my Hotaudio DAC to replace the sound card I was simply blown away.

But if you have a budget of 10k, I say spend it on the best headphones you can buy and build up your system later depending on how you prefer the sound. Just let us know what sort of sound you like. (e.g. Heavy bass, mid centric sound, lot of trebble etc.)

Buy a senns HD 595 for 11k locally.. best for you. :) , but with high end phones you really need a good sound card atleast.. Even when I bought the same, I thought of using it with onboard SC for 5-6 months, but I couldn't resist for a new Sound card for more then 1 week. and bought Xonar DX. :P

After a hell lot of messing with headphones i'd recommend any of these.

HD595<hd380Pro<maudio Q40<AKG 271 MKII

271's are the best.

You mean to say, spend more on Good sound card, less on headphone? like 60:40 ratio ?
