40K+ Used iPhone 15 Pro v/s New iPhone 16e?

Just as new iPhone 16e dropped yesterday, I may have thought of upgrading to it from iPhone 12. Others might say it as a Downgrade, but as someone who does not use a MagSafe fast charger, it doesnt really bother me neither does the lack of Ultra Wide camera. Used it rarely on my iPhone 12 anyway. Now the only core reason i have to upgrade might be because of the battery life that they are claiming. Not to forget that i also crave some good camera to capture better photo/video, which is why i am eyeballing at iPhone 15 Pro (especially the cinematics things).
As far as price is concerned, iPhone 16e (128GB) is available for ₹59,999 . And Used iPhone 15 Pro (128GB) is around ₹70,000. My budget doesn't exceed ₹75,000.
i want some good opinion from iPhone 15 Pro owners about their battery life if at all this post reaches them! a solid info on Screen-On Time is what i need now. Since my iPhone 12 with 78% BH barely holds 4-5 hours of backup.
i am asking the opinion of you guys to decide which might be a better option.

Was browsing a few used iPhone 15 Pro's in my locality on Facebook Marketplace, most of the models i found were associated with Battery Health of 85-91% and priced at/around ₹75,000-₹82,000. Does that sound good to buy?
Also i would turn off 120Hz Refresh rate screen anyway, i don't believe phones even need that (personal opinion), Which would/may raise the battery backup a little more.
And yes, who doesn't like the Telephoto camera!! one of the reasons to keep iPhone 15 Pro over the iPhone 16e.

Strongly against 16e.

This is a very weak device. It skips on so many features which make iPhone in anyway unique: magsafe, ultra wideband, true tone display. Also compared to Pro: no ultrawide camera, 60Hz pnly display, no HDR, no telephoto, etc.

Discourage getting 16e. Rather go for 15, even if not Pro.

Tim Cook: Wait, let me pull John Ternus
Tim Cook to John: You are testing new modem right? How is it goin?
John: Isabel is saying that they need more time and people to test.

Tim to Sabih and John: Whoa. this is fast. Let's mark this as the most affordable powerful best iPhone ever we created and sell it for $599.
Tim to Isabel: Happy? People are now going to pay $599 to test your modem.

Does anyone think if someone has bought their iPhone on EMI, and is selling it now while it is still on EMI. Will the phone be locked if they stop paying EMI?
Pretty sure that i remember seeing such a case in this Forum, man that is horror. How do you find out if the iPhones are on a payment plan?

>Tests their modem for $599
>Creates a "SE" (was £429 before) alternative to maitain they care for consumers on the lower end (I think they will probably market this for older or less tech savvy people)
>Breaks into the Ecosystem for cheaper and the Garden gets walled, now you may only have apples. +the downgrades make you upgrade faster in the FOMO of it all.
>Lays foundation to The Price Anchoring for the newbaseline devices

Apple is genuinely such a great example to understand behavioural economics in practice.

If you are looking buy older iPhones in India, Apple has discontinued sale of
  1. iPhone 14/Plus
  2. iPhone SE 2022
iPhone 15 Pro/Max and iPhone 13 are already discontinued.

Your only options for older models are: iPhone 15 iPhone 15 Plus

Been using the 15 pro since launch now , even after one year my battery life is around 90% , i can get around 11-12 hrs easily without worrying about recharge, plus magsafe powerbanks have come a long way you can grab one from ambrane for 1-2k if your still worried about battery, i just keep one in my bag when traveling and never worry about backup .

Coming to the 16e , not gonna lie its a really good offering i am considering buying it for my parents since they only use it for basic stuff , but if ur even a little bit of a techie u should stay away from the 16e , the guilt of not getting the pro will consume u the cameras , the display these r definitely way better on the 15p. Plus i feel the 16e at launch is abit overpriced let the discounts come in i feel 40-45k is more suitable price for it

Feels such a relief that last year got mom a iphone 15 base, after her SE 2020 was done, had we waited for upcoming "new SE" this crap would've felt like bait and switch.

But apple as a company likes to screw it's users and make shareholders happy
