Using a tablet for excel work ?

Hello fellas..

My uncle wants to buy a tablet 7'' for editing excel files on the move.

I know there are some apps available on play store that provide this facility, but i want to know if this is practical in actual usage ?

I s there anyone in here who does this kind of work ? Please share the app you use and your hardware.
 
It is possible. But cumbersome on a touch only device. Some tabs support external USB keyboards either through USB or bluetooth, but then, the idea of doing it on the move takes a toss.
 
wont the battery die fast? i mean such devices hardly have a good battery life unless you jump to the high priced range like nexus or such tabs like samsung's. i think a good option would be one of those samsung netbooks you get for 20-22k.
 
If he increases the budget try ipad mini + numbers. A great combination.
Else you can easily get a second hand ipad on your price tag.

Yep

A tablet is primarily a consumption device. Editing anything isn't really going to work too well unless you add a kb in which case a netbook is better.

Tell him to wait until he has the required funds.

Buying something cheap today that does not do the job tomorrow is a waste.
