Using DOS bootable USB pendrive

I have created a DOS bootable pendrive by copying MSDOS.sys, etc., and luckily it works! And the DIR command shows there's about 2 GB of free space. But ofcourse, the pendrive itself is now drive C:, and it doesn't see the NTFS formatted hard disk on the laptop. I need to copy files from the hard disk to the pendrive. What do I do? Where do I start? Any help is welcome.
:noob:

Use NTFS for DOS, i think its by Paragon or something.

Easier option, load Ubuntu on the damn pendrive and enjoy GUI.

Thank you for replying. I do have Ubuntu on another pendrive. I used USbuntu. I have Paragon Partition Manager also on a pendrive. :( So you feel the harddisk cannot be accessed with the DOS bootable pendrive? Or is there some way to do it?
