Hi Guys

Foobar is one of the best audio players and with the help of wine we can now use it even in Ubuntu.

The newest version of Wine (Windows API Linux emulator) allows one to run foobar2000 with most of its plugins in Linux.

ColumnsUI also works .

PolishLinux.org has a tutorial on how to do this.

Never used foobar..Can you tell me what advantage does foobar offer over other media players ? Anyways, thanks for sharing :)

@ Pat, personally i feel foobar is a very simple looking yet powerful application. Its not really eye-candy stuff but colors can be customized. Its very light on resources and plays ANY format. :hap2:

But mind it, the main reason for ppl disliking it is its very simple window'ed looks.

If I didn't hate linux, I would be running Amarok. One of only two linux programs I ever liked. (The other being gltron). :P
