guys i have samsung 5.1 home theater system. Is there any way of connecting the woofers/speakers of home theater to my pc? Please guide.

Yes you can connect a PC to the Home Theatre. Just look for a 3.5mm jack on the home theatre and connect it to the 3.5mm audio out of your PC with a cable. Then switch to the AUX mode in the home theatre.

Probably your home theatre will be having RCA input at the rear of the box , RCA (google for the image of rca cable) . If yes then you will need to get RCA TO 3.5 MM cable (3 in quantity). Connect RCA end to your home theatre , check whether it goes to the rear speakers , centre/subwoofer speakers or front speakers , according connect to the matching slots. Your motherboard will need 5.1 audio support for the same

Motherboard has 5.1 preout (enough to power up just earphones). For external speakers, you need an amplifier or power amplified speakers.

as flux said get a rca to 3.5 mm cable .. but you wont be needing .. 1 will do the work .. i use my ht on pc sometimes .. and dont get the 3.5 to 3.5 jack !!!
