I have Airtel broadband and 2 Beetel 450 TC1 modem + router.

How can I use the 2nd one to extend the range of wifi. I can connect the 2 devices via lan cable but what are the settings on both devices to be able to do what I want. Can the 2nd device be used for extending the wifi range.
Thanks.

If you connect via lan cable it should work out of the box , at least it did with some asus routers I tried last time. Give it a shot and see

I too wanted to do this to extend WiFi signal but can some one pls suggest how to configure the first Adsl modem wud be primary one which connects the isp. If I use lan and connect the second one how to configure it ?

The term repeater here isn't correct, what you are doing by extending with a LAN cable is adding access points.

To be able to do that the beetel 450 needs to support being configured as an AP. Typically you assign a static address to the AP, and it passes on any DHCP requests a wireless client asks for back to the base station. Give the AP a different SSID to the base station. And set different channels manually on both (say 1 on base station and 11 on AP), so they don't clash with each or jump about.

Unless the beetel 450 supports AP mode, you won't be able to do it. Put up the manual or search it for the term 'access point'.

Recommend reading this post on IBF.

You disable the DHCP on the second 450 and configure its DHCP to use relay and then specify the IP addr of first for DHCP as well as gateway.

You need to set the pool of IP addrs assigned from the first to a range that will not conflict with either of the two routers or any other static IP wired devices attached to the first one.

I think its possible to use the second one as a wired AP in the manner the OP desires.

you mentioned for wired one. how to configure for wireless router as wireless repeater..in my Beetel 450tc3 modem there is repeater mode when i enabled it (after many steps) finally it asking ip to avoid conflict i changed last one with 2(192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2) after it shows click here(192.168.1.2) to reboot when i clicked it not reopening.. please help me to use
