After the increase in the prices of petrol, diesel, electricity , vegetables ,pizza's and a whole lot of other things even the net connection has made dearer by Tata Indicom Broadband.
The Quick Power 180 which was costing Rs 1922/- is no longer shown on the site instead we have Quick Power 150 for Rs 3363/-!! now this is a massive increase in tariff.
The unlimited plans havent had a tariff change in Mumbai but there seems to be a differential tariff for different cities.
eg : Nasik has 3 months of the 384 kbps plan for Rs 3202/- whereas in Mumbai we get the 3 months of 256kbps for the same amount, with 3 months of 384kbps being for Rs 3390/-
Similarly 512kbps is cheaper in Nasik than in Mumbai!! Rs 4804/- vs Rs 5933/- for 3 months  :ashamed:
I dont know what has prompted the "good" people at Tata Indicom to do this....
As now the Quick Power 180/360/720 are still available under the renewal option for me,dont know if they are going to stay that way for old users....i hope so!!
Edit : Could this be due the lack on competition?? I mean BSNL has just reduced tariff's all over India for 256kbps plans and has introduced 512kbps plans at reasonable rates while MTNL Mumbai has been sleeping all this while, they dont have an unlimited plan as of yet!! And there is no other ISP which has a pan-Mumbai presence....
