utorrent not working !!

hey guys,

from two three days i am unable to download or upload anything using utorrent :S

infact when i try to update to the newer version of utorrent it shows an error - "Unable to connect to the utorrent server" :huh:

what's this?

anyone else facing this problem ?

If you can access all sites, guess your ISP/firewall/Virus client is blocking it.

my firewall and AV aren't blocking it ....my ISP never did so before!

can BSNL do so?

just try any other torrent client and see if it works or not. Atleast you will know if BSNL is blocking P2P or not.

bsnl is not blocking p2p as my brother who has his own laptop can use utorrent with my connection (wifi)

OKAY GUYS...just re-installed the application and it's working fine now

I just had to re install my utorrent as it was not working either due to some odd reasons. The latest version available seems to have solved the problem of downloading the torrents but the cache write timing seems to be altered in this build.

I cant watch a movie in peace while another one is being downloaded in the background. Every 60 seconds or so the stuttering is ruining the movie watching.

Can anybody shed some light on this issue..? i mean tweaks which ll let the disk writing of the downloaded data be non interfering in the movie watching.

Last build i was using was 1.7.7 (old but had some good features) and that one didnt had any problems of this kind.

There is a disc cache option in preferences. You can set values for lower thrash.
