utorrent stealth

Actually when I am at home, sometimes I download some stuff using utorrent that I would not like my family members to see, so I was wondering if it was possible to completely hide utorrent from the taskbar & system tray such that it remains hidden even when the system reboots(I have set utorrent to start automatically on startup) I tried the version1.5 with boss key but it is visible on startup, is it possible to set up a macro or something that "simulates" the boss key at startup?

any solutions would be welcome.

it is possible to hide utorrent from the system tray.

Do this>

once u torrent is minimized to the tray,right click on the taskbar>properties>customize(at the bottom)>select utorrent from the list>select "allways hide" in the behaviour column.

What i have done is

I am using uTorrent v1.6

Open uTorrent>Options>Preferences>General

Under System Tray

Click Minimize to tray, Click Start uTorrent on system startup.

Download this icon

and save it as tray.ico under C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\uTorrent

The name of the icon is Invisible, its actually a icon with no graphics, so when its on the system tray, you cannot see the icon.

Best thing to do is to change the name of the torrent, after adding the torrent file double click on the name of the torrent and put any other name you like, by that way nobody will come to know what you are downloading

How can I make µTorrent start in bosskey mode?

(1.5.1 beta 460 and later) Add /HIDE to the shortcut/path. Make sure you've set a bosskey beforehand, otherwise you will have to end the process and start it again without /HIDE to access it.
