UV and CPL Filters

Just got my first D-SLR and looking for a 58mm UV and CPL filter for it. Is i mandatory to get both filters? I am thinking of getting UV filter atm and will go for CPL filter if required. What would be the cost and place for getting these filters?

I am planning to get Hoya as its a recommended filter brand. What else brands are recommended. I am planning to visit Fort tomorrow.

there kenko...same thing is sold as hoya in US

thry B+W too but its quite expensive i hear.

58mm and UV Filter is more or less a lens protector. If you really wanna invest in good filter which is really helpful in certain conditions, then go for CPL Filter which costs somewhere around 2000 bucks. Also lens hood is nice addition to protect your lens and again useful in certain conditions.
