Is it just me or somebody else too feels this new Avatar of TE to be a bit bland ?

i keep getting an uneasy feeling while navigating through the site and even after considerable time still get a 'Not So TE' experience.. ?

1. Yea, please increase thread's character limit in Review Section back to what it used to be.. Feels very irritating to switch to two thread to read a single review.. :ashamed:

2. Can't remove that advertisement bar in the homepage.

3. Spoiler issue is still not fixed.

4. Bring back Market watch.
 
Is something wrong with the search function for previous posts? When I visit TE, I'm just not able to get my postings made during my previous visits in correct order.

Also, I'm not able to do a search by section which is quite inconvenient (as I sometimes remember which section I posted in and want to see it has been updated).

Is this problem already reported? (I don't know cuz I can't seem to search properly :P) .
 
Browsing te is such a pain for me:(, i browse through gprs.
The previous te was fine, though it was a bit slow, it was unacceptable. But now it is no so fun:( opening a page take abt 5 mins:@, what to do¿¿

I sinceirly request the mods/admins to help, and others speak out for me.

My personal suggestion is to make a lite version for all those browse through gprs, this will also take care of the people using opera mini.
 
You cannot make a lite version of the forum code while retaining functionality. Its not the skin which is heavy, its the vb4 engine. Anyway the latest release seems to be much faster, so wait for an upgrade. Whenever that it.
 
But there was a discussion regarding installation of Tapatalk for mobile users and IIRC one of the admins had agreed on installing it . But then the VB4 upgrade happened and it got all lost

EDIT : My bad , looks like TE is already tapatalk enabled .

If you are experiencing that much slowdown, then its most probably something to do with your internet connection. The new vb4 engine is slower becsause of many OOP calls but that does not mean its more than 2 times as as slow as the last version was.

I agree, the skin can make the site slower and thats primarily because of the number of get and javascript requests made. I am installing a mobile lite skin for you (for those who don't have tapatalk)
