Well flame me if you want but the new look sux, I liked the older look of TE and would be nice to have that back. With this new look TE looks more like E :P

Is is just me for the new interface/skin feels really cluttered?

Any way to change it to something nicer?

@Roxtin - Noway, E is way different than the current TE theme. I do like the new theme, it'll take some getting used to.

How do I search for my own created threads? Do i always have to goto my member profile and do so?

A bit of patience would help :P
We don't work on TE all day and nothing will be done till evening :P

Yep :P Have you ?

The website has a lot of design problems. While we are aware of most of them and are actively trying to fix them, we would appreciate if you guys could post all of the problems you find out in a feedback thread. Since the design is still very "raw" it will need continuous updates for it to be usable and display reliably on most popular browsers.

J/K....Please don't ban me

BTW , another thing, posting a image is resizing it but instead of expanding it when you click on the bar, it opens in a new window. Is it possible to bring it back to be expanded in the same place ?

Just a suggestion.

Is it possible to bring - Home | Forum | Blog | Whats's New? - in the middle?

Oh and of course all the links on the pane below too. It would look even better according to me :)

I have one request whatever the changes made i.e. I would like to be able to revert back to the previous style. I appreciate the changes made to keep up with today's folks I guess but I don't want to learn another way of navigating this site as I was comfortable with the previous method. (It took me some time to get used to the previous set of changes itself :ashamed:.)

I used to find TE's simplicity very refreshing and just how a tech site should be(I considered it akin to a few "get the job done and do it well" type websites like Google). Maybe some folks like all the glitz and new way of presentation but I guess some of us get bogged down by too much information and may crave the simplicity we were used to earlier :).

If there are more like me, please consider my request.

Unfortunately the resistance to change cannot be helped this time. Earlier it used to be just the style change so such suggestions could be entertained. This time it is the platform change. We have moved from vb3 to vb4. So the older styles will not work at all. Period.

The newer version of Element, Desat and Nocturnal will be made available soon. Unfortunately the organisation of content will still remain the same since it is platform dependent.

My advice is that you spend time on the new interface. It is very well organised and predictive.

I completely agree with Renegade :) Staff can't change everything in one night. TE is re opened today only for members. Lots of bugs yet to be fixed but I'm sure, Admins will sort them out. What we need is patience only :)

Element for vB 4.0.3 is not released but the complete RIPs are available, as they're *ahem* and illegal we can't use them here :D :D

The original theme will be enabled once the bugs get ironed out. I agree that currently it is way too bright.
Thats about as official as it gets, so we are going to hold you to it :)

I read Safin's blog and most of the improvments especially search will help, that's always been a long standing gripe for me.

But the look and feel i think is what most would want back as it was unique and made you feel you were in a different place. So now that we know its going to come back its only a question of being patient.

Refreshing change. Thanks to the admins.

Special thanks to renegade for adding the thread creator's name n date ( to prevent unnecessary bumping to old threads ) as I requested earlier. :)

And btw, +1 to safin's idea of making a mobile ( or opera mini :P ) friendly version of TE. The previous version was read only.

lol just read the complete blog is the upcoming contest same as the one on stupid E search and post themes :P

It is released and available and we are using it on TE but only for admins. There are a few bugs which the developer will iron out and release a new update.

I would love to take the credit but it is also a vb4 default feature. I guess they love you. :)

FYI, We don't copy other site's contest. (in this case i don't even know what you meant)

If you hang around a week, you will know what it is about.
