Lauras' and Cruzes' have tried and tried but I blitz them to hell if they start showing off.

All this until an E segment car comes along that is

Can't. What's applied is applied now. If I remove it the next layer would not stick properly, moreover its not legal.

Its a Caska Unit and comes with a moulding to give it the OEM look. But please take my sincere advise and stay away from that piece of crap.

I only took it because it was free and without trying it. Its useless.

Try and source a moulding for ANHC '11 and put in a pioneer system. Cheaper and a million times better.

If you could wait a couple of days then my TBHP thread will be complete and it has the issues that I have enountered thus far. You can check it out then.

@mjumrani

I was thinking of buying the caska unit from the dealer (Rs. 42k with mapmyindia maps) or import one from china (Rs. 22K including customs duty but without MMI).

Guess I better stay away from it and get a Garmin device instead!

^ A very wise choice mate.

Just curious, you wanted the unit because of GPS only or there was something else also?

GPS, reverse cam, TPMS and phone pairing via bluetooth feature.

Most high end garmin devices can do all of the above except TPMS (can live without it

)

BTW, have you done any mods? minor or major? Civic is a very mod friendly car

I think some touch screen models from reputed brands like pioneer can handle that. But you would need to get that HU plus moulding plus the cost of mobile maps. Garmin should be a better option besides it would be portable in case you have more than one car.

I do not which mod I should look into first as I have no intention of getting the warranty void. Maybe an ECU remap but it's just giving me a boost of 15bhp which is hardly anything plus it costs around 25K from Kiirus.
