Storage Solutions Verbatim DVD-R not readable.. !!! (help)

Hi,
I recently purchased Verbatim 16x DVD-R and burnt 2 DVDs full of movies.
The burnt process went fine and the verification also completed properly but after nero ejected the DVDs on completion of burnt+verification process, I re-inserted the DVDs and the same DVD-Writer is unable to read those disks.
Earlier the same happened with my moser baer but I thought its because of the quality of disks.

The DVDs I wrote were at 4x and 8x speed but both were not readable. Till 2 weeks back, everything I burnt was working properly now suddenly this problem happened. Can anybody help me track down the issue ??

I do have sometimes the same problem..with some of the CMC discs(Mercury) DVD-R. btw...is ur DVD Writer..LG?

The DVD-writer came as part of Acer 4930 laptop. Anybody knows any solution to this problem ?

Hi, try those dvds which r not readabie on ur drive on other system to verify d problem.

I am able to open those DVDs on my sony external DVD writer. But on the laptop it refuses to be opened.
