hi guys
planning to buy a 50 pack verbatim dv+r pack as it seems to be a popular choice here.
now what i cant decide is whether to go for matt silver from mediahome or pearl white from katmandude?
whats the difference b/w two and which one should i go in for?
i m planning to buy via ebay.

btw is katmandude active atm? havent seen him post for a long time now.

The Pearl White is definitely better in whatever I have seen. Have bought 2 Pearl Whites and 2 Matt Silver ones. The Pearl Whites are head and shoulder above the Matt Silver one.

Pearl White : http://www.techenclave.com/946476-post617.html

That's how all the DVDs fared and were consistent too.

Matt Silver : Will post a scan later tonight but PIE in general is around the 70k mark while PIF ranges anywhere between 500 and 2500 :|

I had bought Matt silver from Lamington Road for 550 bucks..Its MCC 004.

I almost burned 39-40 of them and most of them do not have very good scan results. the quality score is around 90 average and at times even drops to 75-80 for 1-2 dvds. :(..

Burner is a recently bought and sparingly used SH-S223F.

Will post the scans later.

I too used both Pearl White & Matt Silver... Pearl White gives much better quality scans with C2 errors in the range of 400-500... Most of the time its less than 400... While with Matt silver its mostly 500-1000 & sometimes even more than 1000 on individual discs...

I use BenQ DW-1650.... :)
