Verizon Global Ready

Hey Folks

I need info about verizon global ready mobile phones. Are they are unlocked GSM by default as it is CDMA phone with GSM capabilities.

I have seen some deals in ebay for various models about these Global ready but not sure about it use.. Could anybody share your thought.

Yes, they are mostly gsm unlocked. You may need to do spme tinkering to get the data working.

What do u mean by spme tinkering? will data access will not work by default?

I'm not sure about it and could not find any info on that anywhere.. Any one from US using verizon can share info that by default are they GSM unlocked ones atleast outside US we can use without any problem?

Yes you can,everything will work as it should...just insert your sim and you are ready to go...
For some android phone you need to root and make some changes to hotspot to work for example in droid RAZR M...

am using verizon droid razr xt912, with reliance gsm, without any mod/unlock..
