Other Verizon iPhone 5S compatibility with Aircel

Hello guys! I'm going to get an iPhone 5S Verizon from the USA and I'm planning to use it with Aircel! Before I do that, I wanna check if it works here, because many people say that it doesn't work because it is CDMA. I'd like to hear this from an Indian user! Please help me!
 
GSM ?! I thought that Verizon is CDMA ... :/ I'm sorry if I'm being stupid ... But I really don't understand ... :(
 
Almost all verizon LTE phones are Global phones i.e. they can work both on CDMA and GSM.
Verizon iPhone 5S is a global phone and its GSM part in unlocked from factory so you can use it on any GSM carrier worldwide.

Yes dont worry. 3g will work without any issues. Lte i.e. 4g probably wont work once indian operators launch it since indian operators are probably going to launch 4g working at different frequencies than what the phone supports.
 
Guys, I got in touch with some guys at the Verizon! And this is what they said: "The network operators that work here are Tata Indicom, MTS, Reliance and Vodafone! Operators like Aircel and Airtel also work here, but 3G and 4G won't work with those networks! Only EDGE will work (which is really slow for this generation)" So I've decided to cancel this! :)
 
In india 3G network is based on 2100 Mhz band... So verizon LTE phones does work in all the service providers here. Personally i've used htc 8x, lumia 928 and iphone 5 from verizon here in bsnl, aircel and airtel networks. In fact still i'm using iphone 5 in aircel, but in international roaming!
