Here i have a DVD player that takes in USB also. I have played the 700 Mb rips couple of times using that thru my 2GB Pen drive. But many a times the DVD player just stops the movie in 3-4 seconds. For such cases i would like to convert the movies that i want to see in the normal DVD format (VOB) and then burn the file on a DVD-RW and watch using the player. Is there any converter which will fullfill my requirement. Also one important thing is that the conversion should not be time consuming.

Till date I haven't seen a simpler converter. Lots of options to edit output file size, audio and video settings, and menu creation. Very easy to use. The time taken for conversion will probably depend on your system.

+1 to that, although its not free i guess. Another one you can try is Any video converter, totally free and lots of options there. Have personally used it.
 
The unregistered version will convert only a limited time of video and probably put some watermark on the print.

Will try Any Video Converter also.
