Explorer
-looking for a vfm am3 socket mobo for my cousin's pc
-will be pairing it with x2 250 or x2 555 (no suggestions on this..plz:P)
-budget 2.2k...slightly negotiable
-looking for something well built with good features and gud after sales support
-won't be overclocking
-ram:4gb ddr2
-this is supposed to be a gaming pc

The two above boards will have availability issues. the ga-m68m-s2p won't perform as well the 740g board.

If you already have DDR2 ram and plan to stick to DDR2 boards , the MSI 770t-C45 is a very good board - it retails for Rs.2775. There's a DDR3 version of the same board which retails for under Rs.3000, however it is hard to find.

Btw you can unlock the X2 555 to a quad core using the MSI 770T-C45 and the GIGABYTE 740G based GA-MA74GMT-S2.

looks pretty decent.

Looks can kill- not in your case but point still stands.

There are people who most probably are selling their e8400 (maybe you might get in a decent price if you put up a WTB thread) and maybe you could find a Gigabyte g31 es2l around with decent warranty left- or maybe a neew one. e8400 is faster than 555be. Whether you want to do it or not is your call, but its far better anyday compared to buying boards with long-gone chipsets or boards with patethic quality.

i plan to stick to ddr2 ram.and no i dont plan on go to an e8400.thnx.
now wat is my best bet? the msi board will be way out of his budget.i know the budget is too small to recommend anything but thats y i am here.

^^well yes. but the suggestions here are universal - anyone can make use of it! i did tell you about what would be perfect for you. do consider stretching your budget by 500rs and getting the MSI 770T-c45.
