Hello TE,
My 9600GT is now an oven and I can probably use it for frying eggs. Temps are crossing 105 Degrees at full load and 60 at idle. Tried cleaning, reapplying thermal paste and (clumsily) modded a 120 mm fan on top of it but saw a temp drop of 10 degrees at load and 5 degrees at idle. I intend to purchase a VGA cooler as I have no intention to upgrade in the distant future and would require your help in selecting one.
Budget like always is as cheap as possible, so nothing fancy with heatpipes curling around here and there, but should at least lower the temps better than the stock HS.
Any other modding tips are welcome as the card is almost out of warranty.
