Graphic Cards Video Card for 17-18K?

Ok, I may be getting a refund on my 9800Pro, about 17-18K.Which video card (AGP only!) runs about that much? X800XL? 6800GT?
 
In case if you are getting from US. I believe the ATI AIW X800 XT would be your best bet.

X800XL I dont beileve is available in India in AGP flavour. in India get a 6600 GT for 10k and after a year get another card for 10k. 6800 NU is not worth its price.
 
^^From India only. Even I felt that the 6600GT would be fine for me, as I don't game at resolutions >1280*1024 anyway. Issue is, I don't think the guy will give me 7K credit.. will he?
 
I don't think any dealer will return cash back to you under any circumstances, unless he is your close relation. Even then he would probably crib about it!

If you dont play games beyond 1280x1024 the 6600GT is the best bet. I have one and play at the same resolution sometimes with 4xAA / AF. Most games hold a steady FPS of 30-40 with those settings and everything max. But what will you do with the additional 7K? Can he do a combo exchange, i.e., one 6600GT card and something else of your choice?
 
What I meant for look for a guy who wants to buy a 6600 GT, and then you go buy 2 cards. So you will get your 7k back that ways.

well...
i called up mediatech in bombay today...
they quoted me a price of 19.5k odd for the PowerColor X800XL and about 17.2k for the X800, both in Pci-e flavours..they dont have the AGP in stock right now..he said that new stocks will come in about 3 weeks and that the prices might be a little lower.

if can spend the cash then go for the X800XL(although whether ur dealer cnan arrange it is a big issue..) very future proof... or even the plain X800 is a good bet...

and if u decide to buy 2 6600GTs and sell one, then please let me know :) i would definitely be interested...

the first thing I doubt you will get that much credit for your card. You get replacement or equivalent card or credit of estimated current value.
If 9800pro is not in stock he will offer you a 6600GT. If you get 17K credit you will be very lucky and the dealer you are dealing is nuts :P (give me his tel no, i will be his permanent client :P )
 
19.5K for x800xl !!!!

if any member wants i can let go of my Sapphire x800xl for 18K with full warranty for the same period which mediatech gives.

* subject to usual terms and conditions of warranty policies like for e.g. no user abuse , no unrealistic o/c etc....

and if any wants it without any warranty (testing warranty only) then i can sell it for 17K.
 
He has bought it from States. But you can trust the guy.. and the company too Sapphire, its not a Powercrapper brand.

:p. That's what I meant... lessee what I get from the deal! No 9800Pro back from the guy for sure..
