Friends,

i generally take movies thru torrents and watch it on my TV which can play DIVX encoded movies (.avi). Of late, i have seen that most of torrents are encoded by H264 or MP4 formats which are of no use to me.

Please suggest any free media converter by which i can convert any H264 (.AVI) OR .MP4 movies to DIVX (.AVI) format so that i can see it on my TV. also, can u please guide me thru the procedure for conversion.

I tried virtualdub but could not do it.

you can also try xilisoft audio converter and xillisoft video converter.
Have you tried the inbuilt nero encoder, it a good one i use it.

very customisable, and best part its free, does batch conversions and speed too is fine.

I dont watch movies in TV.. I feel comfortable watching in my PC.. I have used Format Factory.. this converts almost all file types.
