Videocon has announced their first Android tablet, the Videocon VT10. The Videocon VT10 is a 10" tablet running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The tablet looks pretty decent for first timers in this segment Videocon.
Videocon VT10

The Videocon VT10 is a decent looking tablet launched for Rs. 11,200. It has a nice white bezel all around the display. It's got a good IPS LCD display and a fast 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Let's have a look at it's specificaions.

Videocon VT10 Specs:

  • 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 10" (1280*800 Pixels) IPS capacitive display
  • 2MP rear camera
  • 2MP front facing camera
  • 8GB of internal memory
  • expandable memory up to 32GB via micro SD
  • 10.3mm thick, 650 grams weight
  • 3G (via USB Dongle), HDMI out
  • 6,800 mAh rated battery
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

As you can see, this tablet is decently powerful and closely resembles the recently launched Karbonn Smart Tab Cosmic launched earlier this week. The Karbonn tablet also packs a 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon chipset. We are unsure whether it's a Snapdragon S4 Play chipset or a more powerful Snapdragon S3.

The display is a standard (1280*800) pixels resolution. Nothing spectacular. But then again you can't expect more than this for such a low price tag. The large 6,800 mAh battery and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean make this device especially attractive.

Shortly after launching their first smartphones running Android? Don't you remember Videocon Zeus?

Wow. I remember now, the Zeus. That was what, 2011 end? Man. They had disappeared for a year after that right?
