Videocon has launched their new budget Android tablet, the Videocon VT71. And it seems we might have a nice candidate for the sub 5k budget tablets as this one mixes features well with a sweet price tag as well.
Videocon VT71

The Videocon VT71 won't win any performance awards, or product design awards, or any awards at all for that matter. But what it gets right is the price and features balance. Packing a 1.2 GHz single core processor, a 7 inch WVGA display and a nice and light 181 grams body (we think there's a typo at the source, it must be 281 grams), the Videocon VT71 is a cheap tablet. But the best part is that it does come for cheap as well.

Videocon VT71 Specifications

  • 1.2 GHz single core processor
  • 512 MB of RAM
  • 7" WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive display

  • 4 GB of internal storage
  • expandable storage up to 32 GB via micro SD card
  • 3G connect via USB dongle

The Videocon VT71 packaging bundles free HDMI and USB OTG Cables which will come in handy. USB OTG for expandable storage via your pen drive on the go. The tablet is a budget offering and should be treated like one. Do not expect world class quality or performance.

That being said, the features available are a good match to it's just pricing.
