Videos not opening from any site (youtube/metacafe... etc.. )

I don't know since when i'm having this problem.I thought this was due to the undersea cable thingy. My browsing, downloads are fine, only problem i'm having is flash content or .flv files aren't playing on any browser (tried on firefox 2.0.0.11-my default browser and also in IE7)

Also, i'm not able to upload the screenshot to any image hosting site. Clicking on the 'browse' button doesn't pop-up the open-file window.. (window in which i have to choose which file to upload) .

(BTW, i'm using CA Internet Security Suite)...

Also, i had backed up my firefox stuff using FEBE .

I had tried re-installing Firefox, but still i was having the same problem with the sites..

I had restored my backup from FEBE and NOW :@ .... i have this problem..

I had restarted Firefox around 10 times and still, it shows the same :(
 
disable any extensions such as Adblock etc....

ps-disable all 3rd party extensions. then try opening... if it works.. enable them one by one..

also... u dont really need to take a 'backup' of firefox.. all u need is the firefox folder in 'application settings' in ur ''documents & settings folder'
 
Removed CA anti-virus... Re-re-installed firefox.. it's all fine now i guess :]

on AVG Free Version...

bloody PC managed to get infected while using CA Anti-Virus :@
