I am looking to buy 19" widescreen monitor from Viewsonic

As they have many models, i am confused which one to go for

Please suggest. Also people talk about the panels like TN etc

What is that and how important it is

Budget 8-9K
 
Go for Viewsonic VX1962wm, it has just 2ms Response Time..

It will go for ~10k

Thats better in 19" series as i know!
 
dont buy the shytty viewsonic va1912wb....i have dat crap...contrast ratio is terrible....while gamin u cant see dark areas....

1. Gaming (most used)
2. Movies
3. Browsing

is 1930wm best for this priority. please suggest
what its current price.

yes...for gaming it has a 5ms response which is good enough. For movies ...well im a casual movie watcher and it works quiet good for me and as for browsing, any display will be ok for it.
 
1930- its reasonably cheap, and looks superb .

PS - to the 1930 users out here, can you share your colour settings ? mine has a yellow cast which just doesnt go away :(
 
I have VG1930wm and using it with my Dvid port.

Set sharpness to : 0

Adjust Your color settings to 6500K

set brightness to : 30 Contrast to : 35 for gaming

set brightness to : 35 Contrast to : 45 for movies

set brightness to : 10 Contrast to : 15 for surfing

set brightness to : 05 Contrast to : 10 for late night surfing

A week ago one of my friend bought it from Prime for Rs.9350-/-.
