which will be the team to qualify for the finals?

will henry save wenger's "arse"nal once again? or will riquelme guide villareal to history? ur vote plz.

ARSENAL GO THROUGH TO THE FINAL. The 2nd leg ended in a 0-0 draw. So the final tally stands ARS 1 - VIL 0. To say that villarreal gave it their all would be an understatement. They played better in this leg. They had more ball possession than arsenal. They got many chances but what they lacked were the finishing touches. They just couldn't find the back of the net. This match was one of those rare thrilling 0 - 0 draw matches that u'll ever see.

CONGRATS ARSENAL, but hats off to villarreal for not allowing arsenal even a shot on the goal.

lol riquelme is sure to get a beating by his team mates.......i was disappointed by Villareal's performance as they could not finish the chances created in the midfield specially Franco who had enough chances to score a goal.......
 
The stats were like :

Possesion : 60-40 (For Villareal)

Shots on Goal : 15-2 (For Villareal)

And Franco was pathetic, 2 point blank headers. For me, Forlan should have taken the penalty.

Apart from Riquelme and Franco everybody played beatifully. Really unfair for them.

are yaar i was supporting villarreal too, but i don't blame riquelme, he did not miss the penalty, it was on target. i would rather say that it was luck combined with the goal keeper's anticipation that made Jans Lehmann dive left to save the goal. It doesn't matter whether forlan takes the penalty or riquelme, in case of penalties its always 50-50. i would rather say that villarreal were unlucky, not to have found the net through penalty. BUT may i add FRANCO did deserve some beating in the dressing room coz he missed some real sitters. coach manuel pellegrini made the mistake of fielding franco as the centre forward and making forlan the shadow striker, when positioning them the other way round would have done them a world of good. forlan is more accurate than franco in the penalty area and would've definitely found the back of the net atleast once with the number of chances that franco got. plus villarreal missed their regular midfielder alessio tacchinardi due to suspension which forced the coach to field riquelme as an attacking midfielder rather than a full fledged forward. all in all good game for villarreal but arsenal go through due to the first leg score advantage.

Also Jose Mari was on too late.

And yes Tacchinardi was missed as well.

But I aint complainin' cause today's the show stopper :ohyeah: !!!
