But that was a direct advertisement of your tourney with the sole intention of advertising. For advertisements its better if you read the advertisers index.
Which i doubt you know even exists:)

Anyways, this thread was created to only list the different gaming tourneys and is in no way considered an advertisement but as a means to help the members. It has no intentions for personal gains or profits but rather as a welfare to inform gamers in and around Mumbai about the various tourneys and not about a specific event only like in your case. :)

Maybe GF just post the tourney, dates , and a link to your site.

Try not to overtly advertise your site, with each and every oppurtunity you get.

I just heard from a V-Street.net dude, my frnd, that 3 times he posted, and they were deleted, without any message saying the same towards him.
Thats why i just had to post that.

gaming tourny dosent have to do anything with TE, its promoting that here is what matters.

Regarding that vstreet tourney whateevr, well IIRC ppl were required to register there to participate, well so Vstreet was/will get free traffic and promotion, without any due credit to TE

regarding ur friend posting threads about the tourny, I remember it was a user named hardik, and after deleting his thread, a PM was duly sent about it, and that affilation was also recommended just as it was for the Trademarc site, got no reply from him so had to delete all the threads, why wud one create 3 threads anyway, even after reading a PM stating why it was deleted :S

Where as this againdia site is concerned, first off, its not a forum, second off these site officials are not direclty involved in this posting, unlike the case with V-Street. the difference is, someone posts a great deal on newEgg or AntecIndia, that will be fine unless ofcource someone from the site (representative/staff) comes and posts about it. as said above, you too can post about the v-street tourney in that thread, but not a new thread dedicated entirely to promote the site, if u want promotion, better pay up, TE is not an online Classified/yellow pages.
 
Yep, I remember it was hardik.lol (http://www.techenclave.com/forums/members/hardik.lol.html) who put up both the threads on 2-3-2006. The threads were trashed, and a PM was sent asking him for an affiliation/link exchange between both sites, following which we would glady promote his event. Of course, if you have a look at his profile he never logged in after the day he put up the threads .. so obviously he would never have read his PMs. And you say says he never got any ?!

Apart from that he hasnt posted at all on TE. What would you say to people who show up once in a blue moon, stick some flyers all over the place and disappear?
 
I remember sending an email to someone called "abhishek" (or smthing..srry! forgot his name) asking him for affiliation with TE. haven't received any reply from him regarding this.

There's no point in discussing all these crap now. We don't and will never allow advertisement of any kind without prior permission from admins and/or global mods.

posting in that thread by you dosent matter..

but creating a new thread specifically for promoting that matters, especially if that is created by a staff member of the site we are refering to.

I dont know what is so hard here for you to uderstand.
 
All he had to do was:

a) READ the PM

b) REPLY to it

c) Get permission and follow some basic formality

He chose not to, rather he put up his thread and disappeared. We treat that as spam, and it was dealt with in the same manner.

And also I seriously doubt it would have made a difference if you posted, since you have a hard time understanding, much like your pals.

On a side note, this is another one of Goldie's "making mountains out of mole-hills threads" where he carries on with his usual routine of spamming and making a fool of himself.

P.s: Dont go all out with your "Holier than thou" attitude, you guys dont bother sending out PM's when you trash threads on your forum either , isnt it? ;)

Goldy consider yourself lucky these guys are taking time out to reply and clarify. No other forums entertains such half-witted requests and posts.

Btw what i fail to understand is why so much love for vstreet ? Any vested interests ?

FragShack is going down in a few weeks anways. So we can count that.

I have to say this.... Ad1, if hardik was a regular member here, had a rep and people knew him, i am preety sure it would have recvd a different treatment. Tell me, how is what hardik did different from any "other" spammer. Come, create account, post ad (promo, whatever) and disappear.

If this happened at my site (TMG) i would be rather pissed off. If he was indeed sent a PM and then I must say, its his fault. He had the time to create the thread 3 times, but not to look at the PM and comply.

I am not siding with anyone here, just stating my mind. I am sure, if you would have created a thread informing people about the tourney, it would have recieved a different treatment. Just my 2Cents....

Also,

I cant really comment regarding abhisekh. Dont flame me, but my encounter with him was not atall enlightening.
