hey guys speciially blade , look there are very few times i get angry now but i think its about time i give u a piece of my mind , being a mod of te u MIGHT not have realised that www.techenclave.com is a ******* forum where ppl discuss things ,and its a wide community with many users. its not a damn hell organization incase u think it is . many ppl come here so the term "advertising" isnt the right word 2 use , if im holding a tournament why cant i come here and ask ppl 2 sign up or watever whether link or directly , what difference does it make 2 u , v street is not ur competitor that it cant "publisize" its tournaments out here . and u guys really have a wierd set of rules .

Virus, try advertising like what was done on other forums and it will land you a ban. Thats a fact. TE is a organisation and online identity.

You guys started those threads to promote your tournament, thats personal benifit. And even if vstreet is not competitor to TE when you plan to be benifited then either be ready for affiliation and pay up or get a permission before hand or post in the sticked thread like XT just created.

Its not like you are in democratic world on TE. its not your or my property that i can do whatever i want here.

As simple as that. Do as told and as per regulations or dont do it. I dont know why its hard to digest.

Why should i care if he is part of vstreet or not?
I replied to his point of advertising about vstreet on TE, he took the name of vstreet and i replied accordingly. what to laugh about that? I wont go looking on vstreet if he is part of it or not.

If you so sick and tired of TE kindly leave. There is no need for your constant cribbing and lame posts on TE. This is exactly what eddy meant by making mountains out of molehills. The whole issue abt v-street aside you are now fighting it as a personal battle. The guys who posted abt the v-street tourney din't even care to reply back to the pms nor post. You did not try to educate yourself about what happened and came posting abt sarcastically. Remember one thing, appreciate others, respect others and they'll do the same for you. You aren't someone special nor is v-street. It'll get the same treatment as other sites.

About the personal attacks let me tell you one thing you are free to stop visiting/leave TE as you wish. If you really think there is some prejudice or some BIG conspiracy theory going on against you report the responsible people to the admins. So finally as with all your topics even this one is going nowhere since its now about you getting attacked, the mods being partial, etc etc. Weirdest thing is it's only you who seem to be having problems with the staff of late, so better do a self-assessment about who actually seems to be the troublemaker.

I have had arguments with Karan too and he had contradicted me many times and i have contradicted him many times, but that stays here. that has not affected how we react to each other outside the TE environment.

regarding ur friend posting threads about the tourny, I remember it was a user named hardik, and after deleting his thread, a PM was duly sent about it, and that affilation was also recommended

Yep, I remember it was hardik.lol (http://www.techenclave.com/forums/me...ardik.lol.html) who put up both the threads on 2-3-2006. The threads were trashed, and a PM was sent asking him for an affiliation/link exchange between both sites,

I remember sending an email to someone called "abhishek" (or smthing..srry! forgot his name) asking him for affiliation with TE.

Bingo, the common word in all the above posts is "affiliation" .. not "d00d give us 12122342 $". Does that make sense to you?

Threads are never permanently deleted. They are always moved to the Trash. In case of any doubts in a thread, a PM is sent to the thread starter asking for clarification. Once set right, threads can always be moved back to where they were.

So honestly, you should blame your friends for not taking the trouble to reply back to PM's. As I mentioned, there's no harm in common courtesy - even Karan has understood that point very well, pick up a thing or two from your wise clan-mate. We never got any reply, we never did anything else with the thread. And once again, this is NOT an open directory where people can come put up whatever they wish. Everyone and every thread is treated the same.

I agree with you goldie - but lets put it this way - you have 1 small logo for TE on your main page - ATM, we have 4237 links(Huge banners) linking back to TMG.

About the v-street post - we are not gods to know everything - your friend made 3 posts all concerning gaming tournament somewhere - the thing is, his post looked like a AD for two sites rather than a genuine post about gaming tournament. There was zero detail about the actual tournament - it was more like you want to know more, come to my site.

If you really wanted TE community to benefit from such a tourney - you could have posted the Info about the tournament - we would have stickied it like what XT did for the latest tourney post from terminator i think.

Your friend(maybe a mod) was so unprofessional that he did not even respond to our PM's and has the nerve to tell you that we deleted his post without sending him PM - such peeps require a Ban and not post deletion. That shows who was right - The TE GMods or Post & Scoot guy.

Anyways, from now on - we have a sticky about gaming tourney - please feel free to update it with all future gaming tourney's/lan party's/frag fests etc.

Consider this topic closed - unless you really want to get something clarified.

@All, let the original poster log back to TE to get things clarified. All others dont defend something/someone without knowing both sides of the story.

And as far as why it was deleted, it is clearly stated in the above posts.

Since its clearly stated, I see no reason for people to argue about just a small matter as a thread deletion?
We face so many spam posts per day as well as many threads which donot comply with the rules we have. Yet, we take time to clarify things as far as possible. But incase some people still fail to understand the point of freedom of speech and the time devoted by the staff in solving such matters as well as allowing matters which would have otherwise gone unnoticed at other places with zero replies and a simple deletion of the post without notification where the original poster would have not even been given an explaination or even recieved a reply from the staff.
