@vaibhav86

My requirements and budget are similar to you, except that you already have some components. Slight modifications in rig given by bssunil

Intel Core i5 3550 -8500
Gigabyte GA-B75-D3H -4000
Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB 1600MHz - 9000
Sapphire HD7770 1GB -8250
Asus 24B5ST DVD-RW -1150
PSU - (Assuming that you current PSU can take load of HD7770/7750) otherwise use Seasonic S12II 520 - 4500

If above exceeds your budget then go for 2x4GB RAM and add another 2x4GB when required.

On the same requirement, I am preferring AMD Trinity over Intel (high cost per core) and over AMD 8320/8350 (cost shoot up due to external GPU). If you are facing heating issues make sure there is proper ventilation in your cabinet and use after market coolers.

My personal preference:
AMD A10 5800k - 8500
ASUS F2A85-M/Pro - 7000/9000
This mobo which have 64GB RAM support, good enough if you have to run multiple VM which are hosting memory hungry applications (like I do).
You don't have to add external GPU with this combo as its iGP is capable enough games at mid level settings.

With saved money you can add more RAM and after market cooler.

Comments welcome.

Thanks for all the replies :)

few more questions though....

i mentioned that i am only looking to upgrade CPU\MB\GPU\DVD-RW. I already have 10 GB Ram DDR 3 1333 ( typo in my earlier post, its 2X4 GB instead of 4X2gB and another 2GB), all kingston,So is it any compatibility issue due to which i should go for corsair Vengeance?

If not, then you can exclude RAM out of this budget (even DVD-RW)

Is there anything better you would like to suggest given the budget is for CPU/MB/GPU only or shall i go with this config?
@sky : I understand but would really like to go with Intel this time instead of AMD. BTW m using Coolermaster rs-600-pcar-e3. Would that be able to take load of HD7770 1GB?

If you already have DDR3 then you can use them with new mobo.

I have no idea about this PSU. Expert advice is need. What do you say @ALPHA17 ?

Waiting for other replies....
My current configuration is getting worse day by day... 75 C CPU temp when i check in BIOS. I feel lucky to be able to boot up
And I've tried different Thermal Paste. This CPU has also been replaced once due to the very same problem..
