Dear All,

I bought Compaq V3425AU Notebook preinstalled with Vista Home Basic with 512mb RAM in the month of Dec 07.

Found problem of speed.

Upgraded ram to 1gb [Not satisified]

Found Heating problem.

Then Upgrade to 2gb single RAM. Still found Heating problem.

In the month of july sent to service centre to solve heating problem.
-Unsatisified with heating problem.

In Aug, loaded with Win-XP.
-Heating problem solved.
-Lappy is working very fast.
-So far not a single shut down Blue Screen Memory dump problem.
-Now 100% satisified

@gcbeldar..Its obviously a driver problem that caused all that pain..since the xp drivers were proper you hav no problem..try vista with updated drivers..

I used HP recommended Vista Drivers for the HP Web Site.

Dear All,

Light on the battery backup time of AMD Notebook, bcoz, my lappy is given only one hour backup.

Shall I send to service centre for battary problem ?

Ofcourse you did..But the thing is, that many a times even these drivers are not the best..The component makers issue subsequent drivers which have much more performance gains..

Or try the HP website itself..you can find the latest drivers there too..
Just give it a try..
Also u shud think abt upgrading the ram..Its fairly simple and very cheap...:)
