hi guys...
i have vista 32 bit, with sp1

im getting a bsod many times in games...
in nfs undercover...almost every time i play, esp after i quit...bang! bsod!

sidebar keeps crashing regulrly
opera crashes whenever i launch acrobatpro 9
opera dosent even open pdfs online...shows sume error...this is happening ever since i upgraded from acrobat 8.6pro to 9.0 pro

just installed cod waw...selected new game-> difficulty-normal....and nothing happens...game dose not launch..

i quit it..started again..this time it gave an error, di not start...
i have upgraded my driver to latest whql...still same issues...

i guess vista reinstall is inevitable...but im hoping someone could point to a less drastic solution..

thank you

if we know what error pops up we could help.

hit ctrl+c after selecting the error window to copy its contents.

well..i tried starting cod again...error dint pop up...but game didnt start either..
i remember..it was an exception handling error last time
also, changing resolution etc dosent get saved, every time i start game starts on low res...

even i have same issue at cod5

but it work on xp using cod5

afk need for speed undercover for sp1 need full 100 % loading while crash bsod due to 100 % cpu high loading cause bug of this games ;) it suck now odnt use this

hmm...seems like next time i format, i should make a small partition for xp..just for these kind of kinks.....

as for undercover...do you mean its a bug in the game...are others facing it too...

Something went bad really bad..Vista generally doesnt have such problems..Must be a corrupt driver..

Not worth the trouble though, just format and reinstall..

^lol..i know..was rock stable for 6 months or so after installing...and suddenly...poof!!

btw...ive jut re installed latest whql nvidia drivers after cleanup with dc pro (hadn't done this before...)

will try the games later today...

^config in in my siggy
agreed abt ram probs...but why only during games...
and it crashes less often in crysis warhead (rarely in fact) compared to nfs uc (very regularly!) (playin only these 2 games these days)
will chk and post all temps next time i play

btw..no improvement even after driver clean install...

Do a repair of the Vista Installation.
Check ur RAM for faulty modules as a guy in another thread did.
Reinstall the games along with the latest driver and see if it works.
Check dxdiag and see if it is working fine. Let it complete and find all WHQL drivers.
Update DirectX to Nov,2008(the above two are the one where i expect the problem to be).

Try all the above, else just reformat...:)
