looks gr88...thanx for the info...

just one question..can this be easily uninstalled/removed when i am bored by its looks ??

^^ Of course you can revert back to windows xp look.. To un-install it just go to Add/Remove from Control Centre and Remove Vista Transformation Pack 7 ;) Thats it :D I have used 6 and was pretty cool :eek:hyeah: :D

As I said I had used the ver 6 .. Not thins 1 currently no Windows and for this I am not gng to install Windows again :p Btw ver 6 was good :)

Its too bulky i guess..i too liked the v6 which i am using now. Can't say the same about v7 though. I'll try it on my home PC and post some feedback on the same.

well V7 is pretty much stable no glitches as for now seems to work really fine only thing it lacks is those transperant windows and all that stuff apart from that its pretty good as the looks goes the only thing that keeps on annoying is the popup it asks everytime i restart the pc to install windows blind or something

which one is better install

apply vista UI transformation to system OR

apply vista UI transformation to setup files

?

hey guys... i download this pack several times.. and everytime i try to run the setup and it crashes.. and the "don't send" error window comes up :ashamed:

Transformation packs are good. But they tend to make the system slow. Used the ver6... well it installed without a glitch but after installation the comp took a long time to boot. My friend's comp didn't boot at all.
I have downloaded ver7... but still thinking whether to install or not.
These packs cannot be recommended because after removing, they either alter system files or leave their residues...
Better to install the genuine OS and keep these eye candies at bay.

That’s very well said Triple three. I used the Vista Transformation Pack 6 and was pretty happy with it as far as the looks and eye catching vista icons and logos are concerned. People merely knew that I am using WinXP. But it made my system substantially slow... specially the booting (even on regular tweaking and maintenance).
Apart from that, I had to re-install my OS when I wanted to get rid of the transformation pack as it crippled many system files and made my PC incompatible for a plenty of programs (especially games and high end softwares). Probably an ample of residue was left behind (after uninstallation) which turned my system resources low.
It’s a good thing to try once and experience its merits and drawbacks.

HEY, same problem for me too. I dont know what our systems are lacking. Its working fine on my laptop which is quite old. But its not working on my brand new assembed rig.

Can anyone help?

no offense but i tried VTP7 and crystal XP's Vista Inspirant 2 Bricopack..

I must say that i prefer the bricopack over the VTP cause it more stable, uses less memory and works..great :)

Just came to know that we gotta download a 44 MB patch as it doesnt support intel based graphics.

I had previously installed Vista Transformation Pack 6.0 but after uninstalling it, now I am not been able to install this newer Version of Vista Transformation Pack 7.0, whenever I run the setup it shows me an error message and gives an option of either exit or debug. On other systems i was able to install it successfully. Please help me out!!
