Vista X86 refuses to shutdown..!!

I've been using vista x86 from few days .. (demo) & have updated it . There has been a issue with shutdown..when i give shutdown command..nothing happens..

I mean..it just stays there..:| .. cant open any tasks either..so its a indication tat shutdown process is initiated...but does nothing..just stays there.. :|
pc is not hung..but does not respond..

this was when i used to shutdown from start button..
then i started using "shutdown -f -s -t 00" in cmd to force all apps to close ... this worked for few days & it wont help anymore..:|..

wat a bug!! :O .. anyone any recommendations other than reinstall ?

i think some app/process is locking up when the shutdown command is given. Kill ALL the processes in the task manager (except the system proceses ofcource) and then try to shut down and see.
