Forerunner
I recently bought an HTC Legend. Now I can browse ok, but I cant use any apps which connect to the internet over Vodafone Live. I spoke to CC and I was advised to get mobile connect which I have.

I just wanted to confirm if getting mobile connect will indeed solve my problem or is it something else I need to check?

TIA

That's one reason why I dropped Vodafone and went for Airtel. Despite paying 90 somewhat Rupees, I was not able to access any protocol apart from HTTP (strictly surfing). I migrated to Airtel and I've been one happy camper since!

They have a mobile connect plan of Rs.98/- that allows you:-

1) 2GB Free data transfer, in comparison of Vodafone's 500MB.

2) All protocols work. I can now check my mail using IMAP, connect to other services like whatsapp, IM services, et al.

3) Allows you to connect your laptop to the mobile and surf.

4) Much faster speeds.

I know you can't change your number, but I'm just pointing out what's wrong with Vodafone.

As for your query, yes, IMO getting Mobile Connect will solve your problems, but its an expensive affair, at least for me.

Even i face the same problem with Vodafone.

Their GPRS prices are the costliest compared to any operator in the industry....god knows why...
