Graphic Cards Volt Vmoding for 6600GT And Cooling For My Processor

help guys..

i am planning for Vmoding of my 6600GT but it is AGP.

can somebody tell me is it possible. as i have seen many article but most of them talk about 6600GT PCIe only.

my board is 865GBF:no: but i am gonna chnage it to p4800e delux and i will also add XP90 on it so i can take my processor (2.4c)on its max ( may be upto 3.0 GHz) and i want my graphics card also run as fast as possible.

i am going to add Zalman VF700 VGA cooler :) onto it.
shall i add it or first i first Vmod??

off course i wont be able to do it so i will take help from somebody.
but just to confirm that it is possible.
if not then please let me know how i can get max from my card.

suggest best air cooling for my proc as well as card.

avi

check the card closely, tell us if there are any ICs on it with starting "RT" or "LM".....attaching resistors to them enables voltmodding. do check and tell us ehre :)

rahul,

those article talks about 6600GT PCI-e.

do some research for AGP platform.
let me get the details..

and what about NV silencer or should i fix VF700.
which is best...

remember its AGP card so suggest me best cooler ( aircooling).

what about XP-90 is it enough to take my 2.4c till 3.0GHz?????

For How much are you getting the Asus P4800E m/b ??

and whether it is New / Used ....

first of all , thanks avi for getting my zalman .

Secondly , therez no artic cooler which fits the 6600 GT AGP , so your best bet is the Zalman Vf 700 Cu which u purchased for me .

I have had excellent results with it .

I have the Gigabyte 6600 GT AGP , stock clocks 500/1000.

Stock heat sink = Idle : 59-61 , Load : 75 to 84 ( depending on the applications )

Zalman = Idle : 45 , Load : Never over 55

I have Oced my card to 600/1220

at these clocks , Idle : 51 Load : 58-59 .

My 3dmark score was 8100 before , after OCing it 8920.

hey dear,

there is one NV silence for 6600GT also..

here is the link -

i didnt like the pic of graphic card after installation of Zalman.
card should look huge.........

they have mentioned that it supports 6600GT but i dont know they talk about AGP or PCI-e.

and about c800e delux i am buying from Japan and it will cost me max 5000 here.

If u look carefully , the 6600GT is under PCIe just below the picture , confirming that its only for the PCIe version .

Application:
AGP: NVIDIA FX 5700
PCIe: NVIDIA Geforce 6200
NVIDIA Geforce 6600 (GT)
The reason being , the 6600 GT AGP has a very unique design due to the PCIe to AGP bridge , the core is diagonal wrt to the PCB , so its not possible for a whole card length artic cooler to fit in that fashion .

if it does a good job , nuthing like it ;), besides therez a newer version of the Zalman VF700 Cu , called the Zalman VF700 Cu LED , its got a transparent fan with blue LED .

or if u want a cheap solution just fit a 60MM fan over the stock heat sink of ur 6600GT ..... i did it with mine XFX and got very good results anyways if are getting the zalman thats much better ....
