Samsung f14 or m14, both are same and fk/ amazon exclusive respectively.
Cpu is faster than anything under 15k,Gpu not so much. have 2 guaranteed os upgrades.
good cameras for the range.
90hz screen,13 5g bands available.
6gb,128gb is around 14k on fk goes for 13k on sales, including card discounts.
Have bought this for my parents.
Has some knox features like that secure vault or somthing.

Downsides are
1)notch screen design and no amoled but screen viewing angles are great.
2)extra 1000 needed for pd charger if u dont have already.

U may also take a look at m34 on amazon 6gb/8gb at 17k/19k.
Only difference is
4 os upgrades + amoled screen + gpu perf is better than m14 ,cpu perf is almost same.
Better ois camera.

Edit- somehow samsung ui is better than even stock android these days and thats coming from someone who has exclusively used custom roms and stock android.
One feature that i really like is limiting charge to 85 percent.

Thanks for the reply. I liked m34 more but it doesn't have charger which take price to 20k.

Meanwhile i also found Infinix GT10 which looks better than m34 and it has charger too. I actually wanted to buy redmi 12 turbo which was to launch on 8th August but till date there is no confirmation so looks it will be delayed.

Any views on GT10 when compared to m34?

Both have their own advantages over each other. Infinix's UI (XOS) is far behind Samsung's OneUi in terms of features, but it's still sufficient for the average user. It's also extremely light, so XOS combined with its powerful chipset will give you a lag free experience.

Dimensity 8050 in Infinix is also much more powerful then Exynos 1280 on Samsung, but this doesn't matter much if you're into gaming or other heavy tasks.

Battery life will be good on both, but you get an included 45w adapter with Infinix. For Samsung, any PD charger under 1k should get the job done.

Wait for the F34 from Samsung maybe, it's an M34 rebrand but will start at 16.5k with bank offers I think.
Edit- both phones have call recording without announcement. I tested Infinix's XOS dialer recently, didn't announce anything on both ends.

And what about Redmi 12 5G, is it decent for that price?
If you can live with its 6.8 inch display, then yes, it's a good phone as well.

Honestly, for your use case, any cheap 5G phone with good battery life will get the job done. I'd suggest the Samsung M14/F14, Poco M4 or Infinix Hot 30. Samsung has the best UI and battery life, Infinix has the lag free experience, and M4 is a decent all rounder.

Edit : Poco M6 Pro may launch under 10k, it's 5G as well. It's a Redmi 12 rebrand, might be cheaper than it as well.

If you are fine with miui, then thats also a good device. However the camera on samsung is better and redmi may have less number of bands .
Heard that poco has MB issues in all their older gen phone.

Infinix, moto, redmi gives no software updates.

This leaves us with samsung vivo & realme brands only in price range upto 15k which provide decent phones.

Is it correct?

Do all infinix phones have call recording feature like it's note 30 pro 8gb in 16k

Yes poco had horrible mb issues in the past.

i have bought f14/m14 6gb variant for around 12.7k.
Right now in 10-15k segment, samsung has the best camera, best software ( in terms of features ,quality and upgradability).
Screen is also better than competitors unless they are using amoled panel.
If we ignore the newly launched poco/redmi devices with snapdragon 4 gen 2, samsung also has the best cpu.
Negatives are no charger, old and bulky looks.

Cant say anything about vivo and realme since i have had no experience .

QC of Redmi/Poco has been terrible in the recent years, yes.

The software update shouldn't be a problem. Every recent smartphone from Infinix, Redmi, Moto and Realme will most likely have support up till Android 14, whereas Samsung M14/F14 will get until Android 15 (F34/M34 will probably get until Android 17). I personally use an Android 13 (OneUI) and an Android 6 (Touchwiz) device on a daily basis, and while I do miss the features and app support from A13, my A6 device still gets the work done, and is sufficient for the average user.

Yes all Infinix phones have it.

it's said that Samsung A series are better (IIRC software & may be in hardware too) than M series and so A series costlier than M series. But it doesn't mean M/F series are inferior in quality, but a Budget Device from Samsung.

A series are mostly for western market.
There A series would need to be priced lower in Asian market due to fierce chinese competiton.

As such, they release them with minor tweaks internally and cheaper/plastic/less attractive builds in order for A series to maintain some advantage over F/M series.
Think of M/F series as an uglier and cheaper version of A series.
Compare a14 and f 14 on gsmarena.

Not that most users will root their device, but putting it out there that Basic Call Recorder with root is the best of them all as you can even record in FLAC with any bit rate and sample rate. That is what I use on my Pixel 6a.

Also, after looking at the build quality of the Poco F5, I would suggest that you try to get a phone with at least IP67 rating as that indirectly implies a much better build quality.
