Audio want to build a subwoofer

I am planning to build a subwoofer for my car and also for my small room. I love(crazy with low end rumble) bass extension below 40hz to 10hz with flat response with accuracy(hate boomy bass). please suggest me the type of enclosure design,subwoofer size and amplifier for my needs.

evn i wanted to build the same but the probs is

no decent driver available in india

shipping is way to expensive coz of weight

you cant build one beacause you wont get spare neodymium magnets in India either.

also the only option i find is that build one with electric magnet but i dont know of the architecture and moreover the electric magnet consumes huge amount of electricity

just to give you an estimate a magnetised nail on a AA battery drains the battery in ~ 30 sec.

I magine running a speaker on a such a magnet.

suggestions will be appreciated.

You can get a JBL 10 inch car sub for about 3 to 4 k. Very solid and Very nice sound as well...

@atish I am going to build one sealed subwoofer.12 inch dainty sub +600watts amp.

looking for a powerfull transformer please suggest one for me.

kinda a tall order imho

Toroid would be the best, but if not, an outboard EI would do, but not the best.

building a car sub amp is beyond the capablity of an amateur since switching DC-DC PSU's will be needed
