Hi Guys,

I want to buy a new PC under Rs.55,000 for my gaming needs.I think the following configuration suits my need but I need advice from you guys regarding my configuration.when does the prices of Core2 Duos drop and also the dealer in Hyderabad as I am presently staying there.My Configuration is as follows

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 2.13Ghz
Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3
WD Caviar SE 16 250GB SATA
XFX Geforce 7600GT
Transcend 1GB DDR2 667Mhz(1*512MB)
Lite-On 20X DVD-RW
Samsung 18X DVD-RW
Viewsonic 17'' VA712
Logitech KB+Mouse Optical
Zebronics Antibiotic ATX Cabinet
Creative Inspire 2.1
APC UPS 650VA
HP F380 All-in-One

Specify any possible changes and if I can get the above within Rs.55,000.Also specify a Laptop under Rs.45,000 complete with 1GB Ram and Windows Vista Premium Installed.Is HP NX 6325 a compatible one.Kindly Advice me as soon as Possible.

The price cuts will come during Q3 with Barcelona/Penryn release. You might want to wait till then ;)
 
I'd suggest a 7900gs instead of the 7600gt if you can squeeze it in, the 7900gs comes for about 10-11k. The other guys may recommend a cpu\mobo change. I am too lazy to find out prices and calculate them right now :P

XFX Geforce 7600GT - 8.5k ( i say wait a bit for the DX10 CARDS ) get some cheap 2 k card now. or may be in the 2nds market u might find something for as cheap as 500 rs.

Transcend 1GB DDR2 667Mhz(1*512MB) - GO in for 2 gb ram or 1 gb single and add another later. 3.1k

Lite-On 20X DVD-RW - 1.85

Samsung 18X DVD-RW - NOT A SAMUNG RATHER GET IN THE LG H42N -1.7K

Viewsonic 17'' VA712 - 8.9k

Logitech KB+Mouse Optical - samsung pleomax better than logitech 250rs + 300 or 400 ra for the mouse

Zebronics Antibiotic ATX Cabinet - 2k (this is without psu last time i enquired)

Creative Inspire 2.1 - 2k rather spend more get the ATP 3

APC UPS 650VA - 3k

HP F380 All-in-One - dont know

you have forgotten the psu which u will need. get in the COOLER MASTER 600W 3.8K or power safe 500w 2.5 k or the IGREEN coolermaster 2.5k or the cooler master 380w for 1750k(i doubt it taking things properly). i would say at least take the 500w from power safe as future expansions become simpler on it.

its over your 55k mark but i think u can go in for a cheaper cabinet like the BIJLI or LAVA to cut costs/ take the UPS later as my experience about hyd has been no power cuts . or may be take the 500w version for 2k. lower down your processor choice to E4300 and OC it to the E6400 2.13 speed may be more and get the most out of it. or if you dont plan to over clock get the MSI NEO2 6k or so ( this one with quad core support) and keep the e6400. these were just suggestions for budget fixations
