of course not ... but due to different timings, you might wanna select timings manually for best timings

I dont understand mate.. Can u explain in detail please im a little techincally challenged

Let say u have one module of G.Skill - F2-6400CL4D-2GB and another one of G.Skill - F2-6400CL5S-2GB ... both run at same speed but different timings (u can say response time)

Now first one F2-6400CL4D-2GB has timings CL 4-4-4-12 and another one F2-6400CL5S-2GB has timings CL 5-5-5-15

So if u got lucky and F2-6400CL5S-2GB module u have can do timings CL 4-4-4-12 then u should manually put this timings in bios setting otherwise bios will select CL 5-5-5-15 because both modules can do at least CL 5-5-5-15 timings in common

It's like two tires of car going fast while other two slow ... so faster ones have to go slow to match speed with other two

Umm, i think the mobo will take the slowest possible as it has to dual channelled also. so everythnig will run at CL 5 5 5 15, which the unit of 4 4 4 15 should handle with ease anyway.

So you are saying i dont need to go to BIOS it will adjust automatically.. And if i have to go to BIOS where do i have to change these settings because ill go and buy the RAM tommrow..
