@avpradee go for the following components --

Intel Core i5 3550 ~13000/-
GIGABYTE-B75M-D3H ~4500/-
Corsair Vengeance 4GB x2 1600MHz ~3000/-
AMD HD7870 2GB ~18500/- (Sapphire) OR MSi GTX660Ti 2GB ~21000/-
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB ~4500/- (avoid Western Digital Green Edition drives for OS and important data purposes. The Black Edition is over-priced)
HP (boxed) optical drive ~1100/-
Seasonic S12II 520W ~4400/-
Corsair Carbide 400R ~5500/-
DeLL ST2220L ~8500/- (this is a 22" monitor, hence you will play at 1080p and not 1600 x900 resolution)
LOGITECH G400 OR G300 gaming mice ~1500/-
LOGITECH K200 multimedia keyboard ~400/-

For spike buster, go for Belkin.
Rest of the components, buy only if you need to.

For router let other members pour in their suggestions.

Why do you need a 1TB external HDD? Try to keep a external HDD of the lowest size, preferable 500GB. The greater the size, poorer the reliability.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

Thanks for the suggestion , altered config after suggestion

What advantage H77M-DS3H has got over B75M-D3H ? Will there be any future bottlenecks?
Saw this stmt in the review (from flipkart)- And there are only two fan slots (one for the CPU fan), so users with more than one fan are out of luck.
Is it not possible to mount 2 fans?

Nothing apart from the fact that the H77 based offering has a PCIe x1.0 slot whilst there is no such slot on the B75M-D3H. But those peripherals can be put on the secondary PCIe x16.0 slot and will work fine.

There are only 2 PWM fan points on the motherboard, this allows the motherboard to control the fan speed dependent on the internal temperature(s) but you can still add more fans to the build by powering them directly from the molex connectors of an SMPS, be warned the fans will run at full speed though. Cheers!

Thanks for the suggestion people .

Instead of just 4GB x1 RAM module, go for two RAM modules (4GB x2) and run the memory in dual-channel from the get-go.

Instead of the AMD HD7850 2GB, try to get this graphic card --> Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 2 GB GDDR5 GV-N660OC-2GD Graphics Card | Graphics Card | Flipkart.com Try to source it from S.P. Road (if it is cheaper)

Instead of the Cooler Master eLite 431 Plus, go for the NZXT Gamma from Golccha Inter Trade, S.P. Road.

The Corsair GS600 is not worth that price (~4200/-) better try to source the Seasonic S12II 520W ~4200/- (S.P. Road) OR from flipkart.com ~4400/-.

For fans, get these --> CaseFans - Hardwire.in.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

If your getting good speakers and your main requirement is music, why not add a sound card? Asus Xonar DX @4950 ? It adds significant difference in quality IMO. So If audio is priority, Decent sound card would make sense.

What is your internet speed ? Even if it's 20Mbps, 150 Mbps router will suffice your needs.
Consider this router too : Netgear WGR614 Wireless-N 150 Router | Router | Flipkart.com
I am using it. Connected devices : Laptop, PC, ipad, 2 Mobiles. Handles stuff pretty well without a single hiccup and priced pretty well at 1.3K

If you are getting 1080p res monitor, IMO you will not game at 1600X900 res. Better get a GPU that provides decent performance at 1080p res. Like 7870 or 660 Ti.

Comparision between 660 and 7850 : AnandTech - Bench - GPU12
Comparision between 660 and 7870 : AnandTech - Bench - GPU12

If you gonna game, consider 7870. It will cost you 18K though.

IMO, focus less on extras like external HDDs and all, right now. First think about assembly under the hood. Try to accommodate cost of those extras in it. If things under the hood are awesome, output will be awesome too.

What kind of music do you listen to (Genre, File Format)??

I totally agree with crossbow on the sound card. Stock audio chip on the motherboard will not be able to drive your z623's to its full potential. I have a Xonar Essence STX connected to a pair of old Bx5a's and they sound sweet. Xonar Essence STX is best in class for any audiophile IMO. The headphone amp could easily drive my M50's perfectly. You can come over if you want a demo. :)

Cheers...
