Want to buy Wii ....

Whether to wait for it to officially launch in India? Or buy from Palika (I am in Delhi)? Is there any other way?

Advice needed guys!
 
You mean to choose between waiting forever and getting one tomorrow?

I would say get it from palika for ~15k or catch someone coming from the US to carry one for you for 10-11k
 
Agree with Nuke. Plus unlike both Sony and MS, Nintendos hardware is rock solid so not only can you buy one without worrying about a warranty, you can also if you want go ahead and mod the bastard. :D

Eh, PS3 is rock solid too, the last time I switched it off was a month ago, since then it runs folding@home when its not being used for gaming, the only damage I received was in the electric bill.

And Wii's available in Palika bazaar for 14k, modded, games being 200rs.

Original should be at the same price.
 
Wouldn't know about the PS3 but PS2 has had its share of problems. Even now my (less than an year old) slimline sometimes refuses to read some original discs. Plus it heats up very quickly.

Of course nothing beats the 360 in its red lighted glory for questionable hardware. The original Xbox on the other hand is an excellent peice of kit. I have one modded running XBMC that I use to play my Divx, rmvb movies etc.

Compared to that having owned NES, SNES, N64 and a NDS I think the experience is a lot less painfull.

My (nearly) a decade old SNES still works perfectly. You do have to lick the cartridges though (remember those days :D).

Problem is that I dont know any reliable seller in Palika. Can you please guide me if you know anyone? Please either PM me or let me know within this thread.

Is modded Wii 15K or 14 K?
 
Guys, I was thinking of buying modded Wii from Palika (Delhi) on coming Saturday. Please let me know of some trustworthy seller there.
 
not the case with the wii, games are easily available for it and then you can always eerm buy em off the eerm internet ;)
 
But if you're in India its justified :P Not a good market at all here when it comes to console games and its price and not everybody has access to ebay, so its okay..:P
 
Dude! Even pirated game collections are pretty bad. Even more mainstream than original titles being sold and pirates here also cut out entire genres of games as well.
 
Guys, it seems that I will be visiting US very soon. So should I buy a unmodded Wii console from US or buy modded Wii console from Palika?
